Llevaba tiempo sin poner nada por estos lares, pero lo que he conseguido solucionar tiene la suficiente relevancia como para indicarlo por aqui para quien le pueda servir.
El error pasa casi siempre que cambias de placa base y cambias de fabricante de chipset, o lo que es lo mismo, cuando pones un disco duro en otro ordenador para intentar arrancar el windows y sale dicho error. Los pasos que indico más abajo son para usuarios muy avanzados, os advierto.
El porqué es muy sencillo, Windows tiene configurado como chipset y controlador de arranque el chip tal, y con el cambio de placa... ya no arranca al tener puesto dicho controlador y nos lanza la pantalla azul.
Los pasos son los siguientes, usamos para ello el miniwindows del hirens u otro Windows Live, ya que necesitamos tener acceso al registro.
Arrancamos dicho windows live, y nos vamos a MSDOS, si damos a regedit directamente nos leerá el regedit del windows que acabas de arrancar, no el registro del windows que queremos arreglar, para poder modificarlo ponemos lo siguiente:
reg load HKLM\Temp c:\windows\system32\config\system [intro]
regedit [intro]
Ahora vamos a la rama HKLM y vemos si hay algo dentro de temp, en caso afirmativo veremos que se ha cargado.
A continuación necesitamos introducir unos valores en el registro, son los siguientes, para ello crearos un txt y guardarlo como IDE.reg y lo rescatais desde un pendrive:

Damos arriba a importar y seleccionamos dicho fichero
en msdos ponemos reg unload hklm\temp para que se guarden los cambios.
Por último debemos ir a c:\windows\Driver Cache\I386\Driver.cab y extraer el pciide.sys y ponerlo en c:\windows\system32\drivers
Damos a reiniciar y cruzamos los dedos!!!
Una vez que reinicie a reinstalar todos los drivers de la placa, antes quita los antiguos desde agregar o quitar programas.
A mi me ha funcionado pasando desde una placa VIA 100% configurada (con los drivers del chipset y el ide instalado) a una Intel G31.
